Confocal Communications, formerly Morel Communications, is a full-service communications consulting firm offering branding, content development, and campaign implementation.
We work closely with clients to identify the content and context that will reach audiences with the most impact. We can quickly mobilize teams of experts to produce everything from websites and media campaigns, to public relations strategies and in-market events. We take the noise around a topic, refine the message and design, and put it into context to help educate and advocate for important issues of our time.
While we work with clients from a wide range of industries, our specialty is developing and supporting public health and safety campaigns.

Michelle Morel, principal and founder, has worked to create and implement brand and communications strategies for nonprofit and for-profit clients for over 15 years. Her experience ranges from sales training and new business development strategies to messaging and media relations for political campaigns and issues. Recognizing that most businesses have to engage the services of several firms to develop and implement effective public affairs, brand strategy and results-oriented marketing, Michelle started the company in 2009 to break down those silos and offer integrated solutions that utilize the best talent for each project. The company evolved to be Confocal Communications with two divisions: Morel Communications, specializing in public health communications; and Confocal Creative, developing creative content, including documentaries and other forms of media to deliver inspiring communications that change the way people perceive important topics.
Award-winning journalist and political consultant Curtis Robinson is a former vice-president at Direct Impact, the Burson-Marsteller firm that specializes in grassroots and grasstops activities for clients ranging from political coalitions to Fortune 500 firms. Before becoming a partner at Morel Communications, he was an owner and start-up editor for several newspapers around the country. Curtis now leads strategy and development of multi-media communications campaigns for the Confocal Creative division of Confocal Communications to support the communications goals of our clients.
